Competitive
-
Players that want to play on a competitive team must try out. The Coach will hold a tryout and players can be from anywhere and tryout for the team. After the tryout the coach will let the players know who made the team and who didn't, Tryouts are normally held at the end of July first part of August.
-
The games can begin as early as March, there are even a few tournaments in October. Teams decide which tournaments they want to play in, so teams can begin playing whenever they want to.
-
All competitive games are tournaments, they are normally held on Saturdays and Sundays and consist of three to four pool play games and then single elimination after that. Single elimination means that once you lose a game your out of the tournament. Teams can play these tournaments every weekend starting in March or pick and choose through out the season.
-
Tournaments are played through out the state and some teams even go to out of state tournaments to play.
-
At the end of the season teams will play in "State" this is a tournament where the majority of competitive teams in the state participate. The winner of this tournament will go on to play in Nationals and the World Series. These tournaments are played against teams from all over the United States.
-
Trophies are given out at every tournament to the top four teams.
