Throwing over hand properly for girls is very important. Often you hear the term "throwing like a girl" the reason this term came about in the first place is guys trying to have girls throw like them. Girls don't have the same kind of upper body strength as guys, but we do have other things we can do to take advantage of the strength we have in our whole body. A lot of times people try to teach throwing over hand by having the person flip their hand around to "make the goose neck" or "pluck the banana" this is actually the wrong way for a girl to throw because to often they try to throw side armed from this position which causes eventual arm problems and a bad throw.
There are three key steps in throwing over hand, they are: 1. Step
2. Point- make an L shape with your throwing arm, put your wrist back, point your glove straight ahead at your target
3.Then follow through with your arm by snapping your wrist and popping your hips.
