A Slow curve is a slow pitch that breaks out to the outside corner.
To throw this pitch follow these steps:
Start up close at about 5 ft away from a target.
Start your pitch the same way you do for your slider, by bringing your arm around and bending your elbow.
Allow your arm to cross in front of your body passing your face on its way up.
Then flip your palm up and take it down slowly to your hip, this must be done slow both when you are learning this pitch and once you are throwing it at full distance. You will not ever go through this area fast on this pitch.
Bring your arm down and take your arm around so that it is going across your waist. As you cross your waist flip your palm to the side and then finish with your hand on your hip.
The release of the ball happens as you are coming across your waist, you will release as you pass your belly button.
Once you get use to this movement then you can go to full distance.
At full distance be sure to focus on the outside corner knee level target.
This pitch is very tricky so it is best to have an instructor to work with you one on one to perfect the right form.
